I built three tables that roll over but do not touch my pool table to form a massive dining table. I was looking to contain costs when purchasing the chairs and these suited that purpose. The chairs are sturdy and you can order covers separately on Amazon to change the look. These are a value option, not a fancy option. I assembled all 16 myself (I'm a 56 year old woman.) I agree that a drill and philips bit makes attaching the cushions much faster but that's true in any situation. You can then straighten the legs to stabilize the chair. after that, then you tighten the screws & add the seat. Chair is SUPER sturdy. They were great replacements for our eat in kitchen. The chairs were better quality than expected for the excellent price. The seat part is a faux leather type material which is pretty. The base and leg part of the chairs are metal which is what we were looking for. We had other chairs that were similar to these prior and they were wood instead of metal and the wood broke, so I definitely recommend these metal ones if your looking for this style of dining chairs. We've got 3 of them assembled, and all of them are wobbly. We can't figure out why. Tools were provided (allen keys and screws), except a drill. It's easy to set up BUT we had to spend some extra money to rent a drill (from home depot) which was a hassle. It can't be set up without it as the chair cushion did not have holes for the screws -- wish it did as the drill was expensive. Some chairs were slightly wobbly but after adding felt pads (also from home depot) on the bottom it's hardly noticeable. For the price, can't really complain. They're quite sturdy in general. Would definitely recommend! Wish there was a set of 2 instead of 4 option available.
